Tunnel Lighting Control

The LUM420 luminance meter can control the lighting inside tunnels by adjusting the light within the tunnel to the external lighting conditions to enhance driver safety conditions.

LUM420

The LUM420 analog sensor measures the luminance (luminance meter cd/m2) of a surface and converts it into a current loop signal. In the LUM420 tunnel luminance meter, the 4-20 mA output signal is provided by the same power supply cable, offering easy wiring during installation.

High degree of protection for outdoor use and solid stainless steel construction.

Features LUM420:

  • 24 Vdc power input supplied in a 2-wire current loop
  • Non-polarized output and power supply.
  • 4-20 mA output that can be transmitted over long distances.
  • Light sensor with maximum sensitivity to visible light
  • High degree of IP protection (IP64) for outdoor use
  • Solid stainless steel construction.
  • Measurement range 0-6500 cd/m2 at a 20º angle

LUM420-C

The LUM420 analog sensor measures the luminance (luminance meter cd/m2) of a surface and transmits it via ModBus RTU RS485 bus. It allows direct communication with PLC for lighting control and provides the value in cd/m2, a direct value without conversion.

High degree of protection for outdoor use and solid stainless steel construction.

Features LUM420-C:

  • 12 / 24 Vdc power input
  • ModBus RTU communication with selectable parameters
  • Direct luminance reading without conversion
  • Light sensor with maximum sensitivity to visible light
  • High degree of IP protection (IP64) for outdoor use
  • Solid stainless steel construction.
  • Measurement range 0-6500 cd/m2 at a 20º angle
